College and Career Readiness Information
"It is an exciting time for career and technical education (CTE) in Kentucky. The Kentucky Board of Education recently adopted an accountability model that included a career readiness measure which elevates the role of CTE. Also, a steering committee and six workgroups have been established to study CTE. The charge of the steering committee and workgroups is to develop a new delivery model of secondary career and technical education that includes innovation, integration of academics, 21stcentury skills, and collaboration. The goal is to create a consolidated system of delivery that will prepare a “world-class” workforce."
